In early March, the Faculty of Education held the Jean-Paul Dionne Symposium, followed by the Excellence in Education Lecture Series. Several students, professors and special guests attended both events.
Shortly after the symposium presentations concluded, the Excellence in Education Lecture Series began. This year, four university researchers were featured, namely: Stéphane Lévesque, who discussed Francophone-Anglophone relations; Heather McGregor, who discussed indigenous and northern perspectives; Tim Stanley, who discussed racism and antiracism; and finally Lorna McLean, who discussed citizenship education.
The Jean-Paul Dionne Symposium was created in 1985 as a public showcase for research conducted by graduate students from the Faculty of Education.
