Dover American International School is an accredited school that offers a full program for students from Kindergarten to grade 12. The school is located in Cairo, Egypt. DAIS has a growing population and currently serves nine hundred students. In 2018-2019 it is expected the school will grow to eleven hundred students. In the past, the school has employeed a number of teachers from various parts of the world. These teachers come from England, the United States, New Zealand, Canada and Egypt. The common bond between these young educators is that they are looking to provide the best learning environment possible for the students they serve. Some interesting details concerning DAIS include:

 The school follows the American Common Core Curriculum (which is very similar to the Ontario Curriculum)

 All classrooms are equiped with the latest technologies. (Computers and SMART Boards)

 Class size average 20:1 with each KG class being supported by a co-teacher (teaching assistant)

 Regular professional development is provided to teaching staff throughout the year. The school provides three weeks of preparation time prior to school begining in September. A minimum of four professional development days are provided throughout the year.

 The school year consists of two semesters, each composed of two terms.

 There are 180 days in each school year, with each day beginning at 7:30 A.M. and concluding at 2:30 P.M. The school week begins on Sunday and concludes on Thursday (as is the case in most Muslim countries due to Friday being the holy day)

 Successful candidates will report to the school in late August 2018 and will conclude the school year at the end of June 2019.

 International teaching staff will be provided the following:

o One round trip flight to your country of origin each year

o Accommodation in a gated community with services close at hand

o Regular Professional Development

o Health Benefits

o Competitive salary for the region
