Biography

Raymond Leblanc détient depuis 1977 un doctorat en psychologie du développement de l'Université de Poitiers, France. Il co-dirige une collection universitaire européenne en éducation spéciale et en neuropsychologie chez DeBoeck Université (26 livres publiés). Son domaine d'expertise est l'éducation spéciale, l'approche socio-culturelle et la pédagogie différenciée. Ses recherches et autres activités savantes portent sur les désordres du spectre autistique, la déficience intellectuelle, le style d'apprentissage, le langage et la communication, les méthodologies qualitatives, les difficultés d'apprentissage, la psychologie culturelle et la qualité de vie. Dr. Raymond LeBlanc is a member of the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Studies. His teaching field is special education; socio-cultural approach and differential teaching. His research and scholarly activities are in Autism Spectrum Disorder, developmental disabilities, learning styles, language and communication, learning disabilities, qualitative methodologies, cultural psychology and quality of life. He is co-director of a collection in neuropsychology and special education that has published 26 books. Dr. Leblanc represented the Autism Spectrum Disorders' sector on the Minister's Advisory Council on Special Education for many years and served as a member of the Ministers' Autism Spectrum Disorders Reference Group in 2006 -2007.
