Person jumping from 2021 to 2022

Dear Students,

Welcome back to all of our Faculty of Education students who begin classes this week and the next. I hope your winter break included moments of rest, relaxation and time to refresh. With another turn around the sun, here we are already in 2022 at the start of a new academic year. Although I have said it many times before, I am continually inspired by your perseverance and dedication in these taxing times.

As you know, teaching will be online for the month of January, though there is reason for optimism with booster vaccines now available to all adults in Ontario and soon in Quebec. I encourage you to get yours as soon as possible. Your wellness is the priority and the University offers resources to all students, so please do reach out.

I hope you will join us for our full lineup of Faculty-hosted virtual events this winter. Be sure to check out our landing page and social media for the latest news and registration links.

On behalf of the entire Faculty of Education, I wish you an enriching winter session.

Be well and take care.

Richard Barwell, Dean of the Faculty of Education
