In honour of Franco-Ontarian Day: 'Access to Education' with Professor Nathalie Bélanger

University of Ottawa Faculty of Education Professor and Chaire de recherché en education et francophonie, Nathalie Bélanger is among the invited panelists to present at the 2020 French and the Law Symposium. This virtual symposium will be held on September 25 2020 from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM in honour of Franco-Ontarian Day. The panel 'Access to Education' is scheduled from 9:15 AM to 10:30 AM.

 

According to program organizers "this panel explores issues relating to access to education for French-speaking Canadians. Members of this panel will discuss the legal context of French education rights as well as the experiences of francophone students. This panel questions how current legal policies and practices impact francophone families and their experiences within Canada’s school system. In keeping with the mission of the French and the Law Symposium, this panel aims to discuss issues relating to French language rights, and more generally, minority language rights in Canada within the legal and educational context."
