On 2010, the provincial government officially declared September 25th as Franco-Ontarian Day. It is a day where we recognize the many contributions that the Franco-Ontarian community has given to Ontario! Around 600,000 Francophones live in Ontario and are active participants in the cultural, historical, social, economic and political life of the province.
This year students and Faculty members celebrated this special occasion by showing their Franco-Ontarian pride, from the Resource Centre displaying works by and about Franco-Ontarians to the Education Graduate Students’ Association organizing a series of conferences where our students and Dean, Richard Barwell, were able to present how Francophones have shaped the history of Ontario.
