SUPPLY TEACHERS - SECONDARY - FSL

The Simcoe County District School Board is accepting applications for secondary occasional teachers in the following subject area:

FRENCH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE (FSL) with intermediate and/or senior qualifications. Applicants must apply through Apply to Education (ATE) by Thursday, February 21, 2019 at 4:00 pm and are asked to include a cover letter, current resume and OCT. You are required to upload your OCT certificate into your ATE portfolio under "certificates". By doing so, you are ensuring that your current qualifications will be considered when we determine who to contact for an interview. If you are a new graduate and your OCT certificate is not yet in "Good Standing" please include proof that you have requested your OCT under the "certificates" section of your ATE portfolio. You may address your cover letter to Carissa Brueton, Human Resource Services Officer.

NOTE: Applicants will be asked to provide two references upon applying to this posting. References may include principals, vice principals or a current or recent supervisor. We ask that one reference MUST be able to attest to your teaching abilities. Recent graduates may use ONE placement teacher as a reference.

The SCDSB may contact references by email prior to an interview; be sure to provide current email addresses for references. Applicants may not be contacted for an interview if references are not successful. Please note, all new employees of the Simcoe County District School Board will be required to

  • provide a recent (executed within the past 6 months) Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector
  • Check and complete the on-line mandatory training courses with the Simcoe County District School Board prior to their first day of employment.
