The University seeks to resolve a teacher shortage in Ontario’s French-language schools

French-language elementary and high schools in Ontario face chronic recruitment problems. For several years, they have had trouble finding, and keeping, sufficient numbers of qualified teachers. Richard Barwell, Dean of the Faculty of Education, invited the main stakeholders in the field to discuss the challenge of recruiting qualified teachers and identify the best solutions.
