Christina De Simone received her Ph.D from Michigan State University in 1993 with a specialization in learning and cognition, research design and human development. Her work examines the following areas: 1) cognitive transfer in teaching (e.g., how do learners/teachers adapt their pedagogical knowledge across time and instructional contexts?); 2) effectiveness and efficiency of learning (two critical elements of learning for postsecondary learners); and 3) classroom research using quasi-experimental methodology.
